Editor-in-chief/managing editor previews the manuscript for its relevance and quality,
decides whether the papers can be sent for review

Assistant editor sends the preview results to authors

Assistant editor sends the blinded manuscript title and abstract to two reviewers

Assistant editor sends the reviewers that consent to examine the paper:
1. An email indicating a deadline of 2 weeks to review the manuscript
2. The blinded manuscript
3. The review form

Assistant editor sends reviewers who return their reviews an acknowledgment letter in PDF format

Assistant editor sends the author:
1. The review reports in PDF format (with reviewer info removed)
2. The manuscripts with in-text comments, if any (with reviewer info removed)
3. E-mail stating a deadline for submitting the amended paper

Assistant editor acknowledges receipt of the amended paper from the author

Assistant editor sends the amended paper to reviewers (if they stated they wished to examine the amended version of the manuscript)

Editor-in-chief cross-checks the amendments and the review comments

Assistant editor requests further amendments (if needed); otherwise, sends an acceptance email

Managing editor copyedits and sends papers for type-setting

Assistant editor sends the galley-proof to authors to proofread in 48 hours and return the
amendments (if any)

Assistant editor acknowledges receipt of the authors’ final draft

Final papers are sent to the Production Unit for publication

Assistant editor sends publication notification and announces the availability of hard-copies for order

Assistant editor releases the papers online and uploads them to Academia
